CIH Housing - Coming together on the challenges faced

Social Housing and its place within society has been and, potentially, always will be a talking point.  After the recent tragic events at London’s Grenfell Tower we are seeing extensive media coverage and an understandable question mark over the standards of Social Housing within the UK.

Venn Group will be attending the CIH conference this week paying particular attention to matters around large-scale regeneration and putting quality at the heart of housing.

Day one will focus on public private partnerships, the impact of both domestic and global politics and the delivery of housing projects using smarter construction.  Guest speaker Andy Burnham will also be there, imparting his views on how to solve the housing crisis and end homelessness, whilst fixed term tenancies will, once again, form an important part of the agenda.

Day two covers a range of topics including a number of talks from keynote speakers on creating a shared vision for health, housing and social care, the delivery of genuinely affordable housing and the launch of the government’s development delivery body - Homes England.

Do visit us at stand B49 where we hope to meet with clients and candidates alike to discuss the challenges the industry is facing and identify how we can be part of the solutions.  “Housing 2017 is the perfect opportunity for the sector to come together, take stock and re-energise.”
