Children's Mental Health Week

This very snowy week was also the inaugural children’s mental health week, and it seems apt that these two occasions met as the minds of children make an easy correlation to a snowflake, each one being unique and delicate.

In order to preserve the mental health of the generations to come, we must ensure our children and youth see us being open about our worries and the fact that it is okay to not be okay. The social media climate has broken down real communication and people can judge their value on likes or comments, whereas for minds to thrive a support network is needed who build you up or pick you up.

So at the end of this memorable children’s mental health week reach out to someone, make someone smile or ask for help yourself.
