Christmas Decorating at Birmingham Children's Hospital

December has arrived, meaning many of us are now getting into the Christmas spirit; decorating our homes and making preparations. It is easy to take spending Christmas at home for granted, but there are many who will not have this privilege over the festive season.

Noting this, Elise Lamberton and Kimberleigh Parsons spent their Tuesday afternoon at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital to decorate a ward. Elise had this to say:

“I’ve been wanting to decorate a ward with Christmas decorations at Birmingham Children’s Hospital for a number of years, but have never worked for an employer that has allowed me time to do this previously. On top of this, the hospital is a great client of ours across various sectors in the Birmingham office, so we thought it was a great opportunity to give something back.

With support from friends, family and colleagues we have been able to raise well over our initial target of £200. With a bit of luck, we can help spread some Christmas cheer and brighten up a child’s day, who unfortunately, won’t be able to spend Christmas at home this year.”

Well done to both Elise and Kimberleigh, who did a fantastic job making the ward look festive in time for Christmas.
