Charity Day 2019 has arrived!

Today, Venn Group is holding its annual charity day, which this year is in support of Shelter.

135 families become homeless every day in Britain – that’s one family every 11 minutes. Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through advice, support and legal services.

Our fantastic charity committee have organised a variety of events which will take place across our offices today. This includes everything from food challenges, a blind auction, baby photo competitions, fancy dress and even a sponsored shaving! There will also, of course, be a few bake sales in and amongst and our much-anticipated company-wide raffle. As one of the most popular events of the Venn Group year, we have no doubt that the day will be thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Charity at Venn Group is entrenched in our business. While there are obvious positive implications of fundraising for a worthy cause, we believe that it similarly offers a benefit to our employees. It brings our people together, instilling the sense of comradery that is pivotal to Venn Group’s culture. It is also a mechanism for our employees to get involved in new and exciting experiences.

The accomplishments of our employees’ over the course of the year so far include the Vitality Big Half, sponsored skydiving, scaling Tower 42 and countless events in our offices themselves. As always, our people have gone above and beyond to ensure that we raise the maximum amount possible.

With the standards set high following our incredible total of £28,000 raised for our 2018 charity of the year, Cancer Research UK, we hope that today’s fundraising can take us well on our way to surpassing this by the end of 2019. Venn Group would like to thank the charity committee for their hard work and hope that everyone has fun getting involved in the events on offer. And remember – dig deep and donate!
