Administrative Support Assistant
Venn Group is currently working with a secondary school to recruit for an Administrative Support Assistant to support the smooth running of the School.
Location: West Sussex
Duration: 9 Months
Hourly rate: £12 - £15 per hour DOE
You will be responsible for:
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team as directed
- Keep paper and electronic records up to date
- Organise student and parent meetings and taking notes
- Liaise with parents, teaching, support staff and students as necessary in carrying out tasks as directed by identified SLT member
- Answer incoming calls when switchboard is busy
- Manage holiday requests including talking to parents and gathering all necessary further information and sending letters confirming the decision
- Send home letters to parents for poor attendees
- Provide data to all key stakeholders to support attendance improvement strategies for example weekly attendance reports
- Make contact by telephone, email and by letter on a daily basis of all students absent without reason
The successful applicant will have:
- Previous administration experience
- Have a confident and professional attitude
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a high level of IT literacy including Microsoft packages
- Be able to produce documentation, reports, newsletters etc. to a high standard
- Be helpful, reliable, smart, hardworking, resilient and a good team player
