VACANCY – Anti Social Behaviour Officer
Location: South Derbyshire
Length: 12 Months
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Pay: £23.50 - £25.00 via Umbrella (Dependent on experience)
Venn Group are currently recruiting for an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer due to a temporary peak in the workload. You will be required to deliver a high quality, prompt, effective and appropriate response service to reports of anti-social behaviour, noise nuisance (including statutory nuisance) and hate incidents regardless of tenure. You will be expected to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction and to develop and deliver tactics and diversionary activities aimed at preventing anti-social behaviour.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Act on reports of Anti-Social Behaviour, following the agreed procedure
- Support ASB complainants throughout the processing of their complaint
- Record ASB, open and record cases on Orchard using the Community Action Solutions (CAS) management system
- Issuing of Community Protection Warnings, Community Protection Notices, Notice of Seeking Possession (Tenancy Agreement breaches)
- Production of Housing Management and Witness Statements
- Effective monitoring and recovery of arrears of rent, following the agreed procedure, by carrying out interviews with tenants in the home and in the Council’s offices, sending correspondence by phone, letter, email and text messages
- Work with other organisations and departments, such as Housing Benefit and support agencies, to resolve outstanding arrears cases
- Prepare and serve such as Notices of Intention to Seek Possession.
- Prepare details for the listing of tenants in possession hearings at the County Court
- Attend Court Hearings in the absence of the Senior Housing Officer
- Carry out the sign up of new tenants, providing new tenant information to aid tenancy sustainability.
- Assist in monitoring and reviewing policies /procedures on ASB to meet best practice guidelines
Essential experience/requirements:
- Previous experience in a related role
- Knowledge of non-legal and legal interventions to successfully resolve anti-social behaviour complaints.
- A full UK drivers’ license and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS
