Assistant Purchase Ledger Manager Role Available
We are currently keen to speak with Assistant Purchase Ledger Managers or experienced Purchase Ledger Clerks that are looking to secure their next role.
Reporting into the Purchase Ledger Manager this is a permanent position based in the Wetherby area, with onsite parking for this position that is easily accessible from major routes in the area.
This role has a 37.5 hour working week and 25 days holiday per year
Duties include:
- Filling in for absent employees, including the Purchase Ledger Manager, and ensure department deadlines are met
- Raising payments timely and accurately
- To oversee the Purchase ledger team including rotas, authorising holidays/leave and other absences
- Training new employees and ensuring staff follow company policies and health and safety regulations
- Handle escalated supplier queries in a timely manner and provide support to the team
- Cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely keying, uploading of purchase invoices, credit notes and journals
- Also ensure the reconciling of invoices and credit notes against purchase orders
- Accurate query reporting, investigation and resolution including credit note and proof of delivery requests
- Ensuring notes and attached documents are kept up to date
- Reconciliation of supplier statements
- Provide information to suppliers regarding payment details including dates and amounts
- Build and foster relationships with key suppliers
- Any other ad hoc duties
Required experience:
- Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Be able to prioritise workload and adhere to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Well organised and able to work accurately with a good attention to detail
- Enthusiastic, flexible and motivated with a proactive attitude
- Team oriented, collaborative
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel
