Associate Group Manager (Neurosciences)

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Group Manager to provide BAU support to the Group Management Team in Trauma and Neuro Services. This post will work specifically for Neurosciences which comprises Stroke, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Neurophysiology services.
This is a temporary assignment for three months initially and the role has been deemed inside IR35.
Physical presence onsite will be required to support clinical areas.
The group is aiming to reduce diagnostic waiting times in line with the DM01 target and so recent experience in operations management within the NHS is essential. There is flexibility on work within Trauma and Neuro services as long as the successful applicant can demonstrate transferable experience across other services.
Key responsibilities include:

Lead and manage the specialty, ensuring clear communication and robust implementation of policy, business objectives and agreed targets

Manage the operational performance of the specialty to achieve delivery of national and local targets, the development and delivery of improvement plans and reengineering of roles/models of care

Management experience within the health sector which includes: exposure to solving a range of operational problems involving HR and finance; undertaking service/business planning in a multidisciplinary setting taking into account finance, workforce, equipment and organisational factors; managing and delivering redesign and change management programmes/initiatives influencing decisions at a senior level; proven track record of delivering against set objectives and achieving key targets, demonstrating continuous and quality improvements

Lead the timely investigation and resolution of complaints, clinical adverse events and untoward incidents, involving staff and/or patients, within the specialty and implement strategies to reduce risk of reoccurrence and promote quality
