Associate Head of Capital Projects

A position has arisen for an Associate Head of Capital Projects within a highly regarded healthcare organisation based in Oxfordshire. This is a key role managing the capital works team to deliver multiple projects on a three month temporary, ongoing placement (with the possibility of permanent thereafter).
The successful candidate must have previous experience managing Project Managers and delivering capital works, preferably within a healthcare environment.
Your duties will include:

Ensure the operational capital programme is designed and delivered in accordance with statutory requirements and that works undertaken are of suitable quality

Manage a team of Project Managers to ensure delivery of projects on time and within budget

Design and tender approved schemes in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance and procedures

Continuously review and adapt the capital procurement framework to ensure that the Trust has access to suitable contractors to support the delivery of its operational capital plans

Provide monthly reports on progress of all capital projects

Ensure that engineering assets, FF&E, record drawings and building manuals are clearly documented

Be responsible for ensuring that all work undertaken on the estate is carried out in accordance with safe working procedures, statutory requirements and HTM guidance

Ensure any contractors employed to carry out capital works adhere to Health & Safety
The successful candidate should have:

Experience managing a team of Project Managers and capital works projects previously, ideally within a healthcare environment

A background within building services or quantity/building surveying
-
A DBS check will be required for this position
