Interim Attendance Officer – Nottinghamshire
Duration: Temporary Contract
Location: Nottinghamshire
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour via an umbrella company
An opening has arisen for an Attendance Officer to be based in Nottinghamshire. Said individual will ensure the responsibilities of the post are carried out in a way that reflects the standards, vision and values of the college.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring absence and recording on relevant College systems, advising curriculum staff and Heads of Centre as appropriate
- Be the first point of contact for attendance issues within the Campus
- Identifying students who require support with their attendance
- Making direct contact with students by visiting class when deemed necessary to ascertain reason for absence
- Liaising with Pastoral Tutors re contacting Parents to discuss student absences and support improving this attendance
- Flagging concerns of long-term absence with Wellbeing Mentors and Curriculum teams
- Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are strictly adhered to including checking on whereabouts of pupils with un-notified absences and raise immediate issues with the DSL or deputy
- Ensuring all key staff are kept updated in student absences
- Generating daily/weekly absence reports from existing systems
- Reviewing daily/weekly the at-risk students report on student track
- Running and write reports on current attendance issues, including analysis and evaluation of data and information
- Preparing to generate individual student attendance reports or provide information relating to individual students when required
- Reporting on learners with excellent attendance and provide commendation certificates to Managers to distribute, engage with the reward and recognition scheme
- Ensuring all attendance records/data is kept secure in line with College policies
- Working Collaboratively with cross college/campus teams to ensure all supporting the Attendance policy
- Any other administration duties as required
