A position has arisen for a Business Analyst positionwithin a leading academic and educational publishing organisation based in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing the needs of stakeholders and customers as they enhance the publishing systems that support the company and to ensure clear communication and understanding of business needs and requirements between stakeholders, sponsors and the extended Technology team in order to successfully deliver application improvements.

Your duties will include:

• Eliciting and documenting business requirements and solution designs

• Applying best practice business analysis techniques to identify, clarify and prioritize business needs that align with the company strategy

• Ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements with technical and business audiences

• Facilitating workshops and meetings in order to influence and establish consensus amongst stakeholders with diverse expectations and needs

• Rapidly acquiring and applying new business domain and technical knowledge

• Leading projects or contributing to complex initiatives

• Working with stakeholders and sponsors to ensure strategic alignment and benefits realization

• Contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives

• Developing successful partnerships and productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels to maximize benefits realization.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive experience of applying business analysis techniques in a successful technology team delivering new application features and enhancements, and integrating systems in complex environments

• BA certification, such as an International Diploma in Business Analysis

• Experience of working in global distributed teams

• Experience of working on agile/Scrum teams

• Experience of partnering with technology vendors

• IT expertise and knowledge

• Experience of the Scrum Product Owner role desired

• Experience of product data, publishing or workflow applications desired

• Knowledge and experience with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) desired
