Category Manager – Major Works
Based in: London, but working remotely
IR35 status: Inside
Length of contract: 3 months initially
Start Date: As soon as possible
A London Borough is in need of an experienced Category Manager with notable experience in planned maintenance and capital work, for an immediate start if possible.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Hold responsibility for a number of major works contracts that need to be set up, including but not limited to, electrical works, gas boilers, outside decoration
- Manage the category priorities in both planned maintenance and capital work to deliver the councils objectives
- Build credible relationships with the client and other key stakeholders
- Finalise financials and go out to tender within the first few weeks of the contract
Experience and skills required:
- Demonstrable experience of major works category management
- Work with stakeholders to a senior level across the organisation and third parties
- Oversee procurement and tendering activities
- Excellent written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise communications to a range of stakeholders
- Previous local government experience (highly desirable)
