Commercial Procurement Specialist
We are currently working with an organisation who are in need of the interim support of a Commercial Procurement Specialist to join their Team for 12 months.
Role Responsibilities:
- To lead on and provide regular performance progress reports for the implementation of the Council’s Corporate Commissioning and Procurement Strategy ensuring service areas progress against the key commissioning principles
- To work jointly and proactively with the wider Commissioning Support Team, Commissioners and Business Partners from across LCC and with partners/stakeholders during the analyse stage of the commissioning cycle
- To work through outstanding procurement activity, this will be a mixture of Framework Call offs (ESPO and CCS) and OJEU level tenders
- will be required to work with the internal clients to build up requirements and suitable model for procurement
- To maintain a clear strategic view of overall requirements across the category/ies, and to support Commissioners in ensuring that Service/Commissioning Strategies and Plans take an integrated approach and are supported by business analytics, market intelligence, and supplier performance information, and utilise a wide range of delivery solutions and funding models to deliver the desired outcomes
- Provide supplier/spend analysis, wider spend mapping, any contract performance data and review lessons learned from existing contracts
- Facilitate Commissioning Outcome Groups to help develop options and find solutions to support effective commissioning
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working in senior procurement within a public Sector environment
- To have a degree and/or equivalent relevant professional qualification (MCIPS) or relevant commercial/ procurement qualification
- Experience of working with senior managers and stakeholders to support the development and implementation of commissioning strategies and plans
Start: Immediate with interviews taking place next week
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Up to £390 per day (may be negotiable dependant on experience)
