Communications and Engagement Manager
Length of contract: 6 months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Clearance Required: Basic DBS/BPSS
A Central Government department is seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager with key PMO experience to build and lead on the engagement and communications frameworks of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and run both the engagement and communications frameworks as well as the internal and external reporting framework
- Provide clear communications to Leadership and key internal and external stakeholders
- Build and run the PMO process to co-ordinate change for the Operational team
- Provide line management and guidance for a PMO Lead and a Communications Lead
- Support the leadership within the Operations Directorate to deliver high quality performance of private providers in both the domestic and international market in support of private sector testing
- Day to day operational running of service for ensuring the accreditation and performance of private providers
- Support leadership to deliver high quality performance
- Operational running of service for ensuring the accreditation and performance of private providers
- Drive the performance of service (data driven & engagement driven) in a highly ambiguous and complex environment
Key Requirements:
- Previously worked in an operational/service delivery environment
- Experience across allocation and logistics roles
- Good data analysis skills
- Remain calm under pressure and can demonstrate resilience, with proven ability to cut through complex and time sensitive issues
- Proactive and comfortable working in a challenging and ever-changing environment
- self-starter with an eye for detail, who is capable of navigating a complex internal and external stakeholder environment, providing the team with the leadership to succeed
- Ability to work at pace on a range of competing priorities
- Effective in building and maintaining relationships, with third-parties, stakeholders and colleagues
- Proactive, taking ownership and accountability for decisions and commitments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill
