Communications Officer - Stakeholder Engagement
A well established public sector organisation based in Sheffield is currently recruiting for a Communications Officer to join their organisation initially on an 18 month FTC. The successfully recruited candidate will have previous experience in a similar position.
Required Skills
- Previous experience working in a similar role and/or public sector
- Experience in stakeholder relations management and public engagement
- Strong writing and organisational skills
Purpose of the Roles
- Developing stakeholder engagement plans, identifying and mapping stakeholders to target audiences for effective communications
- Undertake public consultations to identify community views, concerns and alternative solutions, to encourage community support for proposals
- Contributing to the preparation and facilitation of stakeholder workshops, briefings, meetings, and presentations and attend stakeholder forums, providing input into reports for Project Boards and Management board as required
- Working with the Communications and Marketing team, use appropriate technological and electronic tools to produce accurate and timely reports and presentations for a range of stakeholder audiences in a clear, concise and compelling manner that persuades recipients to accept recommended solution
