Rate: £13,104 to £17,093 (FTE £26,209 to £34,186 pro rata)
Hours: Mon-Fri 18.5 per week
Venn Group’s specialised education team are excited to be recruiting for a Computer Science Lecturer for a reputable collegebased in the Somerset.
Outline duties below

Teaching and assessing A Level Computer Science within the sixth form

The role will also include Course Management of the A Level Computer Science programme
-
Delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment to ensure high rates of attendance, completion and achievement
-
Ensuring the outstanding delivery of the A Level Computer Science programme leading to outstanding success rates and Value Added

Coordinating, monitoring and tracking of learners’ assessments and achievements
-
Liaising with tutors and teachers to ensure that learning plans are regularly updated and reflect learner progress

Coordinating the collation and storage of course materials and awarding body correspondence including the use of Moodle based storage / courses

Quality assuring all course and delivery materials to ensure awarding body and college compliance in conjunction with the relevant CAM

Leading course quality reviews in line with the college calendar

Monitoring and recommending resources and learning materials required for effective and compliant delivery in conjunction with the relevant CAM

Ensuring course performance is recorded accurately through the use of management information and Pro Achieve

Supporting the collection of learner views / voice forums for relevant courses and document feedback in a timely manner to ensure required improvements are met.

Attending all relevant Curriculum Area and Cross-College meeting and contribute to the development of Teaching, Learning and Assessment within the college

Undertaking reasonable promotional and marketing activity as agreed with CAM and within the parameters of the Collective Agreement

Acting as a group tutor and provide effective support to learners in line with college policies when needed
