Interim Contract Support Manager
Based in West Sussex, hybrid working
Length: 3 months (Possibility of extension)

The interim Contract Support Manager will be responsible for the management of key contract support and customer service functions to enable the delivery, development and improvement of the Councils’ contracts and frontline services.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Contract Support Manager :
- To manage administrative and technical support and projects for the Commercial Services and Contracts Division
- To manage, motivate and develop staff within the team to achieve high performance and to promote within the team an enthusiastic and customer focussed approach to the delivery of council services
- To work closely with other managers in the Service Area and Directorate and liaise with contractors, residents, other departments and externals organisations to deal with queries and issues in relation to the services
- To manage the Contract Support Team in order to maintain accurate and up to date records, databases and procedures to support the delivery of key Council front-line services. This includes ensuring robust audit and control procedures are in place in relation to the activity of the team
- To produce information and reports on the financial running of the Division and undertake checking of all contract invoices and payments to ensure income recovery targets are achieved
- To ensure the Contract Support Team are a first point of contact for the Council and its stakeholders in relation to the running of the Service Areas contracts and key front-line services. This includes ensuring all customer correspondence is responded to within corporate response times
- To plan and prioritise the workload of the Contract Support Team in order to drive key front-line services forward, directing and coaching staff to deliver results
