Credit Manager

A prestigious private hospital in London is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join their finance team on a 6‑month contract.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing the credit control function, ensuring efficient debt recovery processes, and safeguarding the hospital’s financial health.

It will be a hybrid role, with 2 days per week required on-site

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the credit control function, driving efficient and effective debt recovery
• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to improve cash flow and reduce aged debt
• Monitor and manage the debtor ledger, ensuring accurate allocation of cash and timely collections
• Build and maintain strong relationships with private patients, insurers, and corporate health partners
• Produce regular aged debt reports, with a focus on reducing debts over 60 days old
• Set up customers on Direct Debit and manage payment plans

Requirements:

• Proven experience in credit control, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Immediate Availability to start a new role
• Background in healthcare or private hospital settings, with experience handling private patient and insurance company debt
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to produce detailed aged debt reports and implement effective debt reduction strategies
