Cyber Security Analyst

Venn Group is currently working with a large NHS Trust in Hampshire who are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their team

Rate: Up to £32.23 per hour depending on experience

IR35: Inside IR35

Duration: 3 to 6 months

Location: Hampshire – Hybrid working

Job responsibilities:

Supporting the implementation of network and computer security with varying complexities ensuring business strategies and processes are considered in translation to IT solutions
Acting as champion for the department’s ITIL Security processes, establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving the Information Security Management System
Provide support to Chief Security Officer in securing the enterprise architecture technologies when working with external vendors, suppliers and other stakeholders
Supporting Chief Security Officer in creating complex security structures
Deploy scans to assess the vulnerabilities for endpoints and servers, including producing reports
Work with the Patch Management Specialist to resolve identified vulnerabilities
Automate processes where feasible, sustainable and appropriate
Provide internal auditing and monitoring to prevent unauthorised security changes
Assist the Security Architect with the technical choice of any new security solutions at the feasibility and solution design stages, including assisting with testing and verification
Assist with proposals for an annual programme of work to address outstanding security risks and business cases to obtain funding

The ideal candidate will also have:

Security certification e.g. CCNA Security, CompTIA Security+, Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
Experience working in Local Government, Healthcare, Finance or Defence sector
Excellent interpersonal and explanatory skills in dealing with a wide range of information technology users from skilled to ICT-illiterate
Good technical knowledge to understand and resolve technical problems
Good knowledge of data protection and information security/governance issues
Good knowledge of providing proactive IT System/Network performance monitoring
