Decontamination Manager

Venn Group is working with an NHS Foundation Trust in the Home Counties who are looking for an experienced Decontamination Manager to join the team to act as the Authorised Person for all things decontamination across the Trust. Below is a brief synopsis on the role;
Location: Surrey
Duration: 3 - 6 months (initially)
Hourly Rate: £34.88 - £39.42
Day to day duties include:

Responsible for the day to day management and provision of the decontamination and sterile services team across the trust

Act as the ambassador for decontamination, advising departments and senior staff to ensure best practice within the trust

Produce and sign off on statutory reporting requirements

Responsible for team that cleans, checks and packs all reusable instruments and equipment

Maintaining instrumentation and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and guidelines

Ensure any reusable medical devices & instruments received by the Decontamination unit on any site are checked for completeness and operation before reprocessing

Ensure the decontamination cleaning equipment is regularly serviced and kept in good condition

Responsible for obtaining validation test certificates at mandatory required intervals

Aid in the development & implementation of policy relating to decontamination at the Trust
Essential Skills:

Must be an Authorised Person for Decontamination
