Venn Group are working with a Local Authority in London to recruit an experienced Interim Digital Innovation Project Manager to help deliver the Council’s ambitious transformation and change agenda, as part of their approach to digital innovation.
The Interim Digital Innovation Project Manager will adopt the role of technology business partner, undertaking horizon scanning both internally and externally to identify innovation opportunity within digital local government delivery.
This role is for an initial 3-months, with work scoped up to 12 months.
This role will be inside of IR35 and will require weekly onsite working in London.
Responsibilities in post:
- Identifying and leading a programme of innovation projects that look to improve services for the customer and deliver savings. This includes (but not limited to) Smart Cities, Automation, Single View of customer and Single View of Place
- Developing a strategic roadmap for smart and digital innovation in the borough
- Developing innovative approaches to engagement with internal business areas to understand and inform their innovation needs and supporting demand management into delivery pipeline
Essential skills:
- Experience managing digital delivery programmes and digital change initiatives and in-depth knowledge and experience of all stages of the project and programme lifecycle
- Comprehensive understanding of current digital innovation themes and trends across the sector
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, with an ability to convey complex information and innovation initiatives to a diverse range of audiences and deliver difficult messages whist maintaining buy-in
