Drug & Alcohol Recovery Worker
Recovery Worker position available!
Rate: £18 – £19 per hour (umbrella)
Contract: 3 Month Temporary with opportunity for extension
Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: Tyne & Wear
We’re seeking a dedicated Recovery Coordinator to join a community-based service in Northallerton. This role focuses on supporting individuals with substance misuse issues, delivering person-centred recovery plans, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to promote lasting, positive change.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of service users, creating, implementing, and reviewing personalised recovery and treatment plans
- Conduct triage, screening, and comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate interventions
- Work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies to support service users through engagement, structured treatment, and self-sustained recovery
- Facilitate access to treatment, community resources, and peer support networks to promote independence and wellbeing
- Lead on case management, including risk assessments, safeguarding, and ongoing progress reviews
- Promote harm reduction strategies, including drug screening, BBV testing, and needle exchange support
- Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
About You
You’ll have experience supporting individuals affected by drug or alcohol misuse, with a strong understanding of recovery models and safeguarding practices. You’ll be confident managing a caseload, building positive relationships, and delivering effective interventions within a multidisciplinary environment.
Offer
- £17 – £19 per hour (umbrella)
