Venn Group are working with a large NHS Trust in central London who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Estates Assistant Project Manager to join a busy and dynamic Capital Projects Team within the Estates & Facilities Department. Working across a diverse and complex property portfolio the role would suit a candidate who is looking to progress their career having already gained a minimum of two years’ experience working with an Estates team.
Applicants should possess a project management and relevant estates qualification plus have experience of engaging with and managing contractors. This role has a variety of duties, but mainly the project management of a variety of small works including refurbishment schemes from inception to completion, with responsibility for health & safety of contractors, programme and financial management, quality and hand-over on completion of each project.
Individuals must be self-motivated, capable of working on their own initiative and have a desire to achieve good quality standards so a meticulous eye for detail is important. Although experience of working within the NHS is not essential the candidate will be required to quickly acquaint themselves with the applicable standards and governance procedures.
To manage a number of small sized Capital and Non-Recurring Revenue projects from initial inception through to completion using in-house resources, as well as commissioning external professional services and contractors when required. Along with assisting senior project managers with larger projects
The successful applicants will also be required to take part in the Trusts' Estates & Facilities On-Call rota after a qualifying period
