Job Title: Facilities and Accommodation Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Facilities and Accommodation Manager within a leading health care authority based in Greater Manchester. This is a key role on a permanent basis
Duties will include:
- Responsible for supporting the key business functions within the Facilities Department
- Deliver important projects across the property portfolio
- Improving and supporting hybrid working, office relocations, design and build construction projects, mechanical and electrical system installations, H&S and CAFM system rollouts
- Accountable for managing projects with budgets in excess of £500k and office moves of over 100 staff
- Manage the procurement process for the selection of suppliers for accommodation and facilities projects, providing specifications for tender documents, shorting, interviewing and selection of successful tenderers
- Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, contractors and suppliers appointed to carry out works on projects, ensuring standards of work, compliance with health and safety legislation, meeting of project timelines and managing problem escalation processes
- Liaise with client groups at all levels and directorates across the company so that all requirements are understood and assimilated into the project brief
- Facilitate communication between external contractors, landlords’ agents and Facilities operational staff to ensure that projects are delivered on time and to budget without disruption to day to day activities.
Essential skills / qualifications:
- Must have significant experience of managing projects, office moves, complex fit out and refurbishment projects with values of over £500k, within a high profile customer facing facilities management environment
- Experience of both managing project teams, working as a member of a project team, and managing multiple concurrent projects is essential together with a working understanding of Prince2 methodology or similar
- Demonstrate the ability to take a client brief and interpret requirements to produce an agreed project plan
- Experienced in the use of AutoCAD Software, Sketchup to develop space planning options, floor plans and drawings suitable for inclusion in license for alterations documents
