Role: Field Support Engineer
Type: Temporary
Duration: Six Months Initially
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: £20 - £25/hr via Umbrella Company
Location: Midlands; visiting sites
Key duties:
- Support a number of systems and solutions, including anti-virus, remote access, MS Office and associated accessories, and clinical / non-clinical 3rd party systems
- Act as a specialist in IT Hardware such as; Desktop PC’s, Laptops, Printers, Scanners, UPS’s and other peripherals
- Active Directory use and maintenance including OU structure, group policy and the assignment of rights and access
- Triage and resolution of complex IT situations and issues
- Ad-hoc remote IT support duties
- The successful applicant will need to be predominately field based, the post holder will be required to work as efficiently as possible to ensure each day is planned to maximise time with customers / users
Required skills:
- Specialist knowledge of Desktop Hardware and Software including but not limited to Windows, Office, iOS, Project and Visio
- Familiarity with ITIL service management principles
- Ability to communicate with staff and customers of all levels, relaying IT advice to non-technical persons
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft OS and MS Office applications
- Ability to lift and transfer IT equipment to relevant sites
- There wll be an option to support extended hours services
- Full driving licence and own vehicle as will be visiting sites
