Head of Estates vacancy waiting to be filled
Venn Group have been approached by a public sector organisation in Sheffield and would like to introduce the following position available;
Position: Interim Head of Facilities
Location: Sheffield
Rate: £52,116 - £66,012 per annum
Length: 6 months
Hours: 37 hrs/p week, flexibility to do this over 4 days
The role will predominantly involve:
- Manage the provision and delivery of a central advice and support services to all departments, customers, stakeholders and partners that use the companies infrastructure, facilities and information products (Provide day-to-day management and quality of all services within the Facilities and Infrastructure Section, through employees and outside contractors and suppliers, to ensure all such services continually meet the business needs of the organisation.
- Lead frontline services (including contracted frontline services) in the delivery of customer channel migration, toward cost-effective delivery channels and develop the residual skill base to enable appropriate business development activities to take place. Maintain and develop constructive and mutually beneficial working relationships with relevant Transport Operators, the four local Authorities, and other relevant local and national Government bodies to ensure delivery of Facilities and Infrastructure Section Business and Delivery Plans.
- Support (and where appropriate lead) the implementation of the Delivery Plans for the relevant strategies, and the frontline/operational service elements of all other strategies, in order that organisational objectives are met.
- Lead the management of operational sites and activities to deliver the highest standard of operational efficiency within the parameters of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority policy; including budgetary forecasts and budget management.
- Oversee the procurement, installation and development of directly purchased products and services including front of house services, on-street infrastructure, and information services and facilities maintenance requirements, in order to ensure the quality and timeliness of the products and services.
- Lead the management upkeep and maintenance of Operation & Maintenance systems and associated Health & Safety files following hand over of capital projects in order to ensure safe operating excellence, proper asset maintenance, compliance with legislation and internal policies, procedures and orders.
- Oversee the acquisition/procurement of service data, ensuring compatibility with existing or planned data structures to ensure timely and accurate customer information is available. Oversee activities against agreed process mapping and relevant procedures to ensure uniformity in service delivery across all disciplines within the Service Information business area.
- Ensure the development of all current and potential revenue streams is carried out in order to maximise the return on investment and minimise the burden on the public purse.
- Lead the development of service delivery standards, management systems and performance monitoring systems within Infrastructure and Facilities section in order to ensure continual development in service delivery and shared awareness of performance.
- Continually analyse, monitor and evaluate the internal and external factors that influence performance to determine the needs of the many differing customers.
It is desirable that the successful candidate will have experience working in a similar public sector or transport service based role
