Head of Management Accounts and Planning required immediately
Location: Bristol (fully remote with occasional travel to Bristol)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Length: 9-12 months
Daily rate: £238- £286 via Umbrella

Our well-established NHS client is looking for an experienced accounts professional join their Finance team to oversee the day-to-day operation for the financial management team, including the production of budgets, monthly reporting packs and ad-hoc consolidation reports on organisation wide projects.
Responsibilities:
- To assist with production of the Annual Income and Expenditure planning/budgeting process and associated capital developments, ensuring reconciliation to agreed control totals
- To ensure the implications of the annual savings programme are reflected in Divisional budgets
- Work with finance business partners to ensure production of high quality business cases for all developments, maintaining the list of approved schemes and incorporating the impact into future years planning
- Support the production of Divisional Income and Expenditure monthly actuals position with year to date, trend and forecast outturn
- To provide financial analysis and support to enable understanding of workforce expenditure, especially agency/temporary and bank staffing.
- Lead the NHSI’s monthly and annual accounts financial models/returns as part of the regulatory monitoring process through working closely with the financial planning manager.
- Maintain the current year and full year budgets on the ledger system
- Work with the Business planning team to constantly review procedures to govern the process of submitting and approving business cases for capital and revenue investments
- Support the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management) in the production of key budgeting and management reporting indicators
Essential Skills:
- CCAB qualified (or QBE)
- Mandatory CPD (or QBE)
- Proven experience leading month end processes from a central perspective
Desirable Skills:
- NHS experience and knowledge of NHS finance policy, relevant legislation and the political and business agenda
