Interim Head of Transactional Finance
Length: 6 months

This interim role will be the principal operational and strategic lead responsible for managing and delivering Transactional Finance Services for the Council, with budget responsibility.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Head of Transactional Finance:
- Develop and implement the Transactional Finance strategy which will include the 5 year plan and modernisation agenda
- Hold overall responsibility for the service, ensuring its compliance with statutory and regulatory requirement (inc HMRC, VAT, NI)
- Oversee the Councils accounts payable and receivable functions
Skills, experience and knowledge required of the Interim Head of Transactional Finance:
- Fully qualified – MAAT, CCAB, CIPFA, ACCA qualification
- Extensive experience and knowledge of relevant aspects of local government financial administration and transactional services
- In depth working knowledge of finance systems (e.g. SAP)
