Health and Wellbeing Teacher
Duration: Temporary 6 months duration – (high chance of contract extension)
Location: Hertfordshire
Rate: £21 - £25 per hour (Dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday 37 hour per week
Venn Group are currently advertising for afor a reputable Community Educational Trust based in the Hertfordshire.
Outline duties below
• Planning and teaching learning programmes to adults, ensuring all learners undertake appropriate initial, formative and summative assessment
• Teaching Health and wellbeing/Health and Social sessions at all levels and reengaging adults into education
• Teaching learners to high standards using appropriate and varied learner-centred methodologies and approaches to enable and support individual learning styles
• Designing or adjust programmes including schemes of works and lesson plans against current course specification, making use of appropriate resources and teaching materials
• Providing impartial information and guidance to enable learners to make appropriate course choices
• Negotiating learning goals with own learners and record and monitor these on Individual Learning Plans and on Google Classroom
• Ensuring equality of opportunity for all learners by removing barriers to learning, encouraging learner autonomy, taking into account cultural diversity
• Embrace and promote teaching and learning technologies to enhance the learner experience. To actively develop and promote the use of digital skills in teaching
• Taking part in team meetings including moderation, standardisation and curriculum team meetings
• Ensuring that accurate records are collated and quality monitoring processes are respected including registers, Individual Learning Plans, enrolment data and assessment data to ensure that government funding can be claimed
• Supporting the curriculum team leader with regards to curriculum design in response to priorities set by the government and in line with Step2Skills identified priorities
• Developing links to secure and promote progression routes for learners
• Promoting a positive image of Step2Skills internally and the local community
