Contract: 6month FTC
Location: Leeds or Manchester (travel between offices may be required)
Salary: 35k equivalent
A leading, global Law Firm is looking to add a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to their team on an initial 6month FTC. Occasional travel between northern offices may be required (Leeds, Manchester)
The position will predominantly be focussed on contributing and supporting on the ongoing development of all H&S policies, primarily their COvid response and protocols. Also, importantly, you will be reviewing and advising on H&S processes and procedures for people who are remote working.
Another key aspect of the role will be to work alongside the HR department to assist with Wellbeing initiatives to promote the importance of good health, safety and wellbeing behaviours.
Other involvement will include attending webinars, online DSE assessments, implementing action plans and providing training to senior and frontline managers.
You
You will need to have previous experience in a similar role and be able to deliver health and safety advice as well as a detailed working knowledge of the broad range of existing, new and emergent safety legislation, HSE Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes. Skilled interpretation of common law and statutory requirements alongside experience working in a corporate environment and engaging with senior stakeholders are a must. Previous experience delivering and supporting DSE risk assessments would be very advantageous. Experience in the transition to OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001 and gaining ISO 14001 would be an advantage as would experience in the auditing of all the above. You must have a NEBOSH General Certificate or be working towards Diploma and a Technical Member of IOSH/Graduate Member of IOSH.
