VACANCY – Housing Assistants (x3)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent (remote)
Length: Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4PM
Pay: £19,205 – £23,472 per annum, dependent on experience
Venn Group is currently recruiting for multiple Housing Assistants, to work for a Housing Association based in Stoke-on-Trent. My client is one of the fastest growing housing associations in the region, with a real dedication to providing quality affordable housing and as such, needs talented and enthusiastic individuals to join them on this journey.
Ideally candidates will need to have experience in at least one of the following: rent arrears, lettings and housing support.
Responsibilities of the role:

To support the delivery of an effective housing service to prospective and current tenants

To work directly with customers, with a strong focus on excellent customer service, to help deliver the service and honour the values of the housing association

To provide essential housing support/advice to tenants and assist them in gaining access to housing

To support the housing officers in their delivery of the service

To manage the housing register, and liaise with local councils on the housing associations’ behalf

To report any repairs and maintenance issues within properties to the appropriate housing manager

To follow up on rental arrears, providing money advice and housing benefits advice to tenants in arrears

Essential experience/requirements:
-
Previous experience in a housing role and knowledge of social housing policies

Flexible in your approach to work, and able to commit to meetings outside of office hours on occasion

Proficient in the use of MS Office systems and remote-working procedures

Full UK drivers’ license and access to own vehicle
