Housing Officer
Venn Group Social Housing Recruitment Team are currently recruiting for an interim Housing Officer for a highly reputable Local Authority based in Dorset to begin temporary employment within their team.
Location: Dorset
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Length of Contract: 4 Months +
Rate: Negotiable
Day to Day Duties:
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of tenancy and leasehold management
- Provide advice to customers, update records, answer inbound calls and ensure access to safe landlord services
- Working with customers to quickly and decisively address tenancy breaches
- Manage and set up Starter Tenancy files
- Carry out post sign up visits and other routine visits when required
- Conduct Estate safety inspections
- Demonstrate knowledge of housing repairs and maintenance
- Communicate with customers face to face, via the phone and letter
- Deal with the public exercising tact and discretion
- Conduct building and estate inspections and identify basic repairs and remedies and report maintenance issues
- Visit residents in their own homes and attend site meetings
- Attend evening meetings
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working in front-line housing management
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- Full UK drivers licence and access to own car
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Driver with their own vehicle
