Interim Housing Officer – Immediately Required
Venn Group are urgently seeking an experienced Housing Officer for our client, a recognised Housing Association, to provide excellent customer service and housing management to their residents. The Candidate will ensure a high-quality housing management service is provided to tenants and to maintain a highly visible and accessible level of customer care to residents and to effectively implement the resident involvement initiatives and processes.
Position: Housing Officer
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location: Oval
Rate: £18 - £22 per hour
Duration: 3 Months
Responsibilities:
- Support a patch size of 400 properties, being their first point of contact for any queries and enquiries they may have
- Effectively liaise with tenants on all matters relating to the conduct of their tenancy and issues are investigated or raised in line with procedures
- Provide tenants with advice and assistance with welfare benefit issues including Housing Benefits
- Deal appropriately with all cases of neighbour nuisance and harassment and neighbour disputes
- Take appropriate action to recover debts from former tenants, including arrears and sundry debts
- Carry out pre-void inspections of properties, to ensure vacating tenants return keys
- Liaise as required with LA and approved referral agencies to ensure all properties are promptly let
- Regularly monitor and review the general repair and condition of communal areas of housing schemes or individual street properties
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with low-medium ASB cases
- Background dealing with void properties
- Practical knowledge of dealing
- Basic DBS dated over the last 12-months
