Interim Housing Officer (Working from Home)
Venn Group Social Housing Recruitment Team are currently recruiting for an interim Housing Officer for a highly reputable Local Housing Association based inPembrokeshire to begin temporary employment within their team.
Location: Working from home
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Length of Contract: 3 Months +
Rate: Negotiable
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Manage a diverse caseload in relation to tenancy & community management issues with the aim of sustaining tenancies and promoting better living solutions for all customer
- Lead on various tenancies management matters e.g. complaints, mutual exchanges, tenancy changes i.e. relationship breakdown & succession
- Liaise with key external stakeholders on the letting of homes to prospective customers with specific needs
- Assess housing applications and ensure homes are offered in a fair and transparent manner
- Lead on letting homes that meet the expectations of our customers
- Work closely with the Money Solutions Team to resolve tenancy issues
- Signposting and referring to agencies for support and advice where appropriate
- Assist and support tenants to manage and sustain their tenancy, ensuring that all aspects of the tenancy agreement are adhered to, liaising with outside agencies where appropriate in cases where tenancy support is needed
- Investigate repair complaints with the aim of resolving issues promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Lead on Insurance claims liaising with customer, loss adjuster and any contractors regarding the claim process
- Assist where needed in delivering the programmed / cyclical maintenance works
- Liaise effectively with the Engage Co-ordinator on a range of community events/initiatives to promote community cohesion, identifying areas for community improvement and new customer engagement opportunities
- Manage a Budget to consider and implement innovative ways of improving neighbourhoods and communities, looking for match funding opportunities where possible
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working in front-line housing management
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook
- Full UK drivers licence and access to own car
- Knowledge of MS Office
- Basic DBS
