HR Advisor (Recruitment)
Our client, a well-respected public sector organisations located in Dorchester, is looking for an HR Advisor to come on board on a for a 3-6 month contract.
Location: Dorchester
Hours: 37 p/w
Length of Contract: 3 months +
Hourly Rate: £14.93 via Umbrella Company
Day-to-Day Duties:
- Provide HR recruitment and selection advice and support to Line Managers, Business Partners and all employees
- Investigate and resolve a wide range of HR recruitment and induction related issues in a fair and consistent manner
- Advise on, oversee and have responsibility for the progression of job vacancies (external and internal) and promotion processes, including; procedures, processes, guidance (manuals) and delivering training
- Liaise with other stakeholders to ensure recruitment timelines are met e.g. Occupational Health and respective training centres
- Deliver a wide variety of recruitment and promotion process tasks including; conducting Occupational (Certified Level A Psychometric) tests, interviewing candidates, inducting new starts and attending careers fairs
- Delivering Corporate Induction programmes for all new starters, including regular monitoring and reviewing to ensure it continues to be fit for purpose
- Proactively use a systems’ thinking approach to ensure the HR systems are accurately updated whilst providing and implementing recommendations for improvements and working practices (e.g. the Service Establishment and other complex processes)
- Develop and maintain the recruitment system to ensure it meets organisational needs
- Produce and update training manuals and proactively manage training for staff and recruiting managers
- Participate in any HR related projects or policy and procedure development associated with recruitment, induction and promotion processes as required
Essential Skills:
- 4 GCSE passes - Grade A*-C / 9-4, including English and Mathematics / equivalent Level 2 qualification / or higher-level relevant qualification
- Level 3 CIPD or equivalent experience
- Experience in all aspects of recruitment and selection
- Driver with access to own vehicle
