Are you a HR Assistant with experience in dealing with compliance?
If so, a position has arisen for a HR and Compliance Assistant to join a School in London.
This is permanent full-time position; work continues during the school holidays.
The post holder will be responsible for carrying out any tasks, as directed by the Bursar, on behalf of the Headmaster. Duties will involve running the payroll and providing office and administrative support to the Bursar for Human Resources, Compliance and Health & Safety.
Job responsibilities include:
- Managing the procedures governing the recruitment of staff
- Liaising with recruitment agencies
- Being responsible for pre-employment checks and required safeguarding checks
- Arranging interviews
- Managing the induction of all new staff and issuing identity badges and keys
- Maintaining personnel records particularly the Single Central Register
- Monitoring, reviewing and updating the school’s standard forms of contract of employment and recruitment templates in line with any legislative or internal changes
- Managing and running the payroll procedures for weekly and monthly paid staff
- Maintaining Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Non-Academic Staff training records
- Managing the information held on the HR database and personnel files, including sickness absence
- Managing maternity and paternity leave administration
- Maintaining diary management of the Policy Reviews
- Updating the School and Staff Handbooks
The successful candidate MUST have:
- Experience working within the Education sector
- Experience of working in HR and running Payroll
- Knowledge of employment law and recruitment
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, e-mail and online applications
- Clear oral and written communication skills
