ICT Transition Lead

A position has arisen for an experienced Transition Lead who will act as the interface between the Programme and BAU ICT Function, they design and implement the support mode. Moreover, they protect the end users and BAU capability by assuring the deliverables that stem from the Programmes. They will be required to translate the complex business requirements into workable service requirements at the beginning to inform and influence the technical solution designs so that it is consistent with the strategy and policy for CTOC.
Responsibilities:

Ensure that Service Requirements are captured, agreed and instilled in the Service Design

Design the end-to-end Service and Support Model, ensuring that great care is taken with designing the inputs into Level 1 and the handoffs to all resolver groups

Document the Service and Support Model in the CSC Service Design Template

On-board the Service onto the BAU Service Management Function, implementing all the processes and work instructions instilled in the Service Design

Existing Service Management capability (E.g. The CSC Service Desk)

Set the Transition governance, requirements and criteria that must be met by the Programme in order to ensure confidence that Service(s) deployed to end users will not cause adverse business impact and can be supported by the BAU Functions (Managed through a series of Quality Controlled Gates and Assessment Panels)

Look at the end-to-end service with a holistic view - Including oversight of non ICT related items that will impact our Service Management function. E.g. Policy, Security, Compliance and Monitoring

Independently verify and validate the evidence against the Acceptance Criteria. (E.g. If training is provided to the support function, test the ability of the resolver group to support the service)

Lead on Acceptance into Service (AiS). Working closely with the process leads ensure
requirements are met for handover of service -
Provide an independent recommendation, outlining the risks and business impact on whether the:

Capability is ready to be deployed the users

The BAU functions are ready to manage the services in live
-
Set the conditions, entry and exit criteria for deployment (into the site lifecycle process for each floor)

Set the criteria and hold the authority to accept a migrated site into BAU (from Deployment - Any
site with lots of issues, needs to remain under project's responsibility until they are fixed) -
Manage stakeholder expectations

Work closely with Test to ensure that we have the right level and number of tests in
place. Including the validation of defect closure -
Essential experience:
-
Valid DV Clearance

Carry a minimum of at least 10+ experience in IT Service Management

Have 8+ years’ experience in Service Design and Transition

Hold a PRINCE2 or Agile qualification
-
The following ITIL qualifications are required: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Managing Across The Lifecycle (MALC) – ITIL Expert
