Interim Equalities Officer

A local authority in London are recruiting for an interim Equalities Officer based within the policy and performance team to support and move forward their ambitious their EDI agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of their 10-year community action plan using data already gathered through peer reviews and staff networking
- Promotion of a strong diversity and inclusion sector within the organisation and pushing the policies further than expected
- Will need a firm understanding of the basics and implement a more complex strategy to cause radical change to the organisation
- Good internal team communication and organisation to meet deadlines set by the policy and performance managers
Skills and experience required:
- Previous equalities officer role
- Corporate EDI experience
- Some HR experience will reflect well
- Ability to hit the ground running as data has been collected
- Strong race agenda values
- Willing to go above and beyond to take organisation to the next level
