Interim Operational Director Adults’ Care and Support

A local authority in London is recruiting for an Interim Operational Director to lead, organise and manage the Adult Care & Support service, providing high quality, improving and sustainable services that meet the needs of the residents.
Key responsibilities of the Operational Director:
- Provide clear leadership to and management of a significant group of related services, providing frontline operational services to the residents
- Oversee the provision of care for those with learning, physical disabilities and mental health problems and older people ensuring the required standards are met
- Maintain the range of improvements and robust processes around practice, service delivery changes and budget management
- To provide leadership in the integrated health and social care space as with move into local arrangements for ICS
- To take a leadership role in the development and delivery of the mock CQC inspection in safeguarding on behalf of London Adass
- To provide expert support and improvement support to the All Age Disability service both across children’s and adults in line with the agreed action plan
- To provide senior representation and technical expertise in all aspects of adult social care, including with lead member, corporate boards and partnerships including the safeguarding board
Skills and experience required from the Operational Director:
- Substantial relevant management experience at a senior level in a local authority with experience of successfully managing significant budgets
- A thorough knowledge of Adult Care services issues including a record of achievement in managing Adult Care services
- A successful track record in the development of staff to develop and harness the talents of employees at all levels and the ability to manage staff and services in a multi -cultural setting
