Interim Technical Infrastructure Lead

A London Local Authority is currently recruiting an Interim Technical Infrastructure Lead, to act as Server and Networks Infrastructure SME and support for their Networks, Telephony, Servers and Cloud operations and development.
Role Responsibilities:
- Act as Server and Networks Infrastructure expert for the Head of Technology and wider IT directorate, supporting knowledge gaps on areas such as VMware and storage
- Advise on the council’s cloud technology roadmap for Azure and AWS as their platforms, but also have a large on premise estate remaining
- Play a key role in technology future-proofing, assessing the health of the current and how to best leverage future purchases, be those cloud or physical
- Lead on the redesign of council’s data centre networks
- Provide technical expertise on the procurement and implementation of a high value data backup solution
Experience:
- Expert knowledge across the technical IT infrastructure space including Networks, Telephony, Servers and Cloud
- Previous experience in developing hybrid solutions for cloud and on-premise technology
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of senior stakeholders and external partners
