Venn Group is working with a Local Authority to recruit an IT and Digital Service Partner to ensure appropriate business justification of all IT investments and play a key advisory role in the procurement and implementation of IT and business systems.
Salary: Grade 8 - £45,571 - £50,645
Location: Hampshire - Hybrid working is required (1-2 days per week on-site)
Working Time: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Key responsibilities:
- IT business partnering and relationship management services across the Council
- Oversee the delivery of the IT-enabled business change objectives and ensure that these are incorporated into the overall IT work programme/road map
- Carry out options appraisals / feasibility studies to determine the viability of new IT/Digital investment proposals
- Develop Information Systems Strategies where required and assist in the development of the Corporate IT Strategy
- Work closely with the Project and Programme Office - particularly on project / programme start-up and initiation activities - to ensure clear and consistent understanding of business change objectives and requirements
- Lead or assist on the procurement and contract management of IT solutions, working closely with the appropriate colleagues to produce, and offer guidance on, requirement specifications and participate in dialogue with potential and current suppliers
- Maintain, modify and upgrade applications and update relevant documentation to a clear design specification, using standard approaches and techniques to ensure compliance across the Council
Skills / Required experience:
- Experience of managing large IT related projects and the successful delivery of the expected outcomes
- Experience of financial budgeting, planning, forecasting, analytics, and management reporting across complex service environments
- Adept at supporting business applications within an appropriate portfolio of services
- Experience with accountability for successful service delivery across several disciplines within an ITIL-based IT environment
- Ability to manage contracts with suppliers of business software and services
- Familiar with the security standards and all relevant legislation that affects security
