IT Purchasing and Asset Administrator
We are working with a prestigious University in London who is looking for an IT purchasing and asset administrator to help support the team in their BAU operations.
Core deliverables of this post include:
- Assisting customers with placing orders with contracted suppliers, providing costs and quotes for IT equipment from the Digital Store and software license renewals.
- Receiving deliveries, returns, dispatch of IT hardware, keeping track of stock items in both internal and external warehouses and recycling of equipment in collaboration with our contracted suppliers.
- Entering and maintaining data into the IT asset inventory system to ensure ownership of assets and sales records are kept up to date.
- Processing and managing service requests using the Service Management Tools for ticket management.
- Assist customers with understanding how to get hardware and software and liaise with our suppliers on their behalf to assist with order enquiries.
- Creating and maintaining knowledge articles where required and ensuring the Digital Shop and portal and website information are kept up to date
Required skills/experience includes:
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills – both verbal and written in high standard of English
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability communicate effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, including those without a technical background, resulting in productive working relationships.
- Ability to represent the University in customer facing situations in a professional manner.
- Experience of working with customers, providing customer service and help customers clarify their requirements.
- Good analytical skills that are structured and methodical in approach, highly organised.
- Willing to dedicate time to knowledge sharing and informal training of others
- Ability to be self-motivated
Location: Central London
Hourly Rate: £14
Contract Length: 3 months+
