Lecturer - Health and Social Care
Duration: Till Easter Term
Location: Norfolk
Hours: 8.30-5.00, Full Time
Pay Rate: £23-£25 per hour via an umbrella Company
An opening has arisen for a Lecturer in Health and Social Care to be based in Norfolk. Said individual will support learners to develop independent and collaborative learning skills, and also demonstrate effective resource management skills to meet learners’ needs, and to promote and deliver learning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing schemes and plans and conducts teaching/learning activities appropriate to the needs of the individual students in line with Health and Safety requirements
- Preparing, marking and recording relevant coursework and assessment
- Tutoring and guiding students with regard to their academic progress
- Contributing to student reports, records of achievement and references
- Liaising with appropriate employers and external bodies
- Teaching on a range of course/programmes within the area
- Acting as Course Director/Personal Tutor
- Implements effective course review and evaluation procedures
- Acting on relevant internal and external procedures, promoting and ensuring quality improvement
- Maintaining necessary Course Guide(s) and relevant information
- Contributing to the work of the course and programme teams
- Contributing to the course marketing and publicity
- Assisting in timetabling and rooming requirements for relevant courses
- Assisting in the organisation of and implements the induction of new students onto relevant courses
- Committing to the safeguarding and child protection and follow all relevant procedures
- Taking part in development and review/evaluation of courses, course materials and learning methodologies
- Promoting safe and healthy working practices in learning areas, applying and complying with health and safety regulations
- Following and complying with college safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Participating in training and development activities as appropriate.
- Attending team, department and college meetings as required.
- Ensuring confidentiality is maintained where required and compliance with Data Protection regulations and policy
- Undertaking such other work as may be required from time to time by the Principal consistent with the duties and grading of the post
