Legal Risk & Compliance Manager:
Our client, a highly regarded law firm based in London are looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to assist their team for an initial 6 months.
This dynamic role will be supporting the General Counsel to maintain a risk management framework across a top 100 law firm.
Key Duties:
- Assisting in the management of anti-money-laundering, reputation, financial crime, data and information security, and conflict issues
- To be a point of expertise on regular compliance related queries, specifically in relation to the SRA Code of Conduct and Principles and conflicts of interest including co-ordinating the preparation of regulatory returns
- Responsibility for managing general cross-departmental matter management issues including secondments, file transfers (internal and external), information barriers, undertakings and key dates
- Providing support in respect of undertaking and documenting regulatory investigations and assessments to consider whether issues amount to a breach of regulation/ statute and whether such breach is material and therefore reportable to the firm’s professional regulators
- Previous experience working within a law firm is essential
