Locum Childcare Legal Assistant – West Midlands – 3 Months - Remote Working – up to £25 per hour (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the West Midlands area who are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Legal Assistant to join their department.
This is a full-time position however candidates with part-time availability may also be considered. The role is offered for an initial period of 3 Months and will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future.
This opportunity is suitable for a Paralegal or Legal Assistant with Childcare experience.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within Local Government.
Duties may include:
Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases mainly focussing on care proceedings
Assisting solicitors to progress directions in care proceedings matters
Drafting applications – C2s, C110As, s.34 and Part 25 applications
Preparing and drafting case summaries, position statements and briefs to Counsel
Dealing with disclosure requests
Drafting draft consent orders
Reviewing evidence and documents
An hourly rate of up to £25 per hour (Umbrella) is offered for this position.
