An excellent opportunity for a Locum Childcare Solicitor to join a Local Authority legal team has arisen in South Wales.
The position is initially for 3 months initially with the strong possibility of further extension whilst the organisation recruit on a permanent basis. The role is offered on a remote working basis and the preference is for full-time hours, however part-time applicants will be considered.
Applications are welcome from Qualified Solicitors, Barristers or Legal Executives with a current Legal Practice Certificate.
Previous experience handling a childcare caseload for a local authority would be preferred.
The duties on a day-to-day basis are as follows:
- Managing a full caseload of Childcare matters
- Dealing with interim care orders and emergency protection orders under the Public Law Outline
- Attending both County Court and Family Proceedings Court including trial hearings, directions hearing and half day hearings
- Performing own advocacy at both contested and final hearings
An attractive hourly rate of up to £48 per hour on an umbrella company basis will be offered, dependent upon experience.
