Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – East Midlands – Full Time – Remote Working – up to £55 per hour Umbrella
Venn Group’s specialist Public Sector Legal Team are working with Local Authority based in the East Midlands region who are seeking a Locum Lawyer to join their Commercial Contracts team.
The assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months with the likelihood of extension thereafter. The role is offered on a remote working basis. The client is seeking candidates with full time availability, however candidates offering part time availability may also be considered.
An attractive hourly rate of up to £55 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependent upon the relevant experience of the individual.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background working for a Local Authority and will have experience conducting a varied caseload involving Contract, Procurement and Partnerships.
Duties for this role may include:
- Conducting and managing a varied caseload including both straightforward and complex legal work involving Contracts, Procurement and Partnerships
- Providing legal advice to Members and Officers of the Council, predominantly surrounding matters of procurement and contracts, partnerships, charities and companies, JCT and NEC agreements and general commercial and contract work
- Preparing and processing all legal documents including contract, agreements, deeds, notices, orders and consents
- Preparing precedents, checklists, standard forms and the development and implementation of the Council’s corporate governance framework
- Advising and attending partnership and other interagency meetings and case conferences as required
