Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – South-East England – 3 Months Initially – Remote Working – Up to £50 (Umbrella)
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the South-East England area who are recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join their department.
This assignment is offered on a full-time basis however candidates possessing relevant experience who can only offer part-time hours will also be considered.
The contract is for an initial period of 3 months and will be worked on a fully remote basis.
This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with prior experience working within Local Government and have the ability to effectively manage a busy and varied caseload.
Daily duties will include:
Reviewing existing contracts, revising and amending existing contracts to make them fit for the Council’s purpose.
Drafting novation agreements and providing guidance on incomplete contracts and contracts, which have concluded.
Dealing with public procurement activities including advising on the compliant conduct of procurement competitions (open, restrictive, competitive dialogue, contracts and framework agreements)
Handling a diverse caseload of commercial contracts and provided advice on complex procurements and contractual matters
The role is offering an attractive rate of up to £50 per hour umbrella dependent upon experience
