Locum Employment Lawyer – Midlands – Full Time – Maternity Cover to start in July 2022 – Remote Working – up to £50 per hour OUTSIDE IR35
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a reputable Local Authority in the Midlands area who are recruiting for a Locum Employment Lawyer to join their department in July 2022 to cover Maternity Leave.
The client is ideally seeking a candidate on a full time basis, however candidate on a part time basis will be considered. Due to the start date, this position would also be suitable for someone who is currently in a permanent role and looking to join the locum market.
This opportunity is suitable for an experienced Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Local Government specialising in Employment Law.
Duties may include:

Handled a mixed caseload consisting of both claimant and respondent cases

Advised on general employment matters relating to sickness absence, disability discrimination, redundancy, grievance, redeployment, unfair dismissal, misconduct, disciplinary procedures and the dispute resolution regulations

Drafted and advised on employment contracts at all levels

Experienced in handling TUPE matters and dealt with all steps of litigation including preparing for preliminary hearings and Tribunal cases
An hourly rate of up to £50 per hour Outside IR35 is offered for this position.
