Locum In-House Commercial Lawyer – Offering between £55 to £60 per hour – Predominantly Remote Working – East Anglia
Venn Group’s Public Sector Legal team are currently recruiting capable candidates to join a Local Authority as a Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer in East Anglia.
Expected duration: 3- 6 months
Skill level: Qualified Lawyer (Solicitors and Barristers)
Working pattern: Predominantly remote with some office presence expected from July onwards + full-time although those with the relevant skills that can only work part time will also be considered
This is a position ideally looking for those who have existing experience of working within Local Government and a working knowledge of Major Projects and Commercial Contract matters.
Duties you may expect to carry out:

Reviewing reports for Executive and Non-Executive committees

Drafting new catering agreements for various educational establishments

Drafting relevant contracts for developmental projects within the local area

Creating contract documentation provided by the procurement unit or direct from officers (including JCT, MTC etc works contracts)

Advising on/drafting funding agreements and memorandums of understanding

Drafting variations to contracts and service level agreements

Advising on various contract issues - including framework agreements, data protection, interpretation of contracts, terms and conditions, working as part of a project team on bigger projects, governance and delegations
An hourly rate of up to £60 per hour umbrella is offered for this position dependant on the skill level of each individual candidate.
